Smooth Sundays Guest Playlist 002: Loopnah Kaya

Back in October 2013 I shared my first Smooth Sunday jam with you guys. I’ve been getting a lot of positive feedback on this concept and I wanted to add another dimension to it so I asked some of my favourite artists/DJs/producers and music aficionados to put together a guest playlist or guest mix including their ten favourite Smooth Sunday tunes.

This week Brussels-based songstress Loopnah Kaya, one of the most humble and talented artists I personally know, shares her Smooth Sunday playlist with us. Find out more about Loopnah Kaya in our mini-interview and check out her playlist below.

What does the world need to know about Loopnah Kaya?
The world needs to know that if I’m not hunting, I’m laying down, and when I’m laying down I’m preparing myself to hunt. I’m doing what I love and I’ve been very blessed with it.

What are you working on at the moment?
Since my EP took some time to take off, I’m performing it live very often lately so that people get to know me first. At the same time I’m working on my second EP. A little surprise might come before the summer though, so stay tuned.

What does your average Sunday look like?
A Sunday for me is a Sun-Day, whatever the weather. My mind is enlightened and whatever I’m doing, I’m on ‘chill mode’.

Can you tell us a little bit about the playlist you put together?
This playlist is a typical Sunday playlist for me: easy and fresh but still deep. I listen to a lot of lyrical songs. I’m a vocalist so I always get inspired by beautiful voices. I thinks this playlist has a few of them. New voices yet very raw. I hope the audience will enjoy it as much as I do.
