Revisit Dries Van Noten’s ‘Inspirations’ Exhibition

For the first time ever Belgian fashion god Dries Van Noten revealed his oeuvre in an exhibition at the MoMu Fashion Museum in Antwerp. Rather than a classic retrospective, it is a glance into the designer’s creative world. Van Noten was given access extensive Fashion and Textiles archives of Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Through various themes the exhibition offered a visually impressive insight into Van Noten‘s works, his creative processes, and his sources of inspiration.

Illustrated with an exclusive selection of modern and classic art, a number of valuable pieces from the Fashion and Textiles collection of Les Arts Décoratifs, and film fragments that have inspired Van Noten throughout his career, the objects are paired with an overview of the designer’s most important pieces. The exhibition ran from February 13 until July 19. For those among you who didn’t make it to the MoMu Fashion Museum or those of you who did and just want to revisit the exhibition, here are some select fragments courtesy of the Fashion Museum for your viewing pleasure.
