Darrell Cole’s Video For ‘Take Me Away’ Is A Big Win For Belgian Artistry

Darrell Cole releases his first video since signing to Sony Music Belgium and it’s one for the ages. Here at Into The Urban we’re very fond of the hashtag #belgiansdoitbetter and that’s exactly what this video is about. The video for Take Me Away, which chronichles Darrell Cole youth in his childhood neighbourhood Linkeroever, was directed by young Belgian director Anthony Nti, who recently received the Audience Award for Best Belgian Student Short Film at Film Fest Gent, and was filmed by up-and-coming cinematographer Pieter-Jan Claessens while fellow Antwerp native Remy Ndow took care off the vibrant animation throughout the captivating visual. Those who pay close attention will also notice that the kid is decked out in Arternative gear, the brand of emerging Belgian designer Bertony Da Silva. This is Belgian artistry at its finest.
