Brussels-based singer/rapper Kriticos has released the 90s-inspired video for his latest track titled Where’d You Go. The song features fellow Bruxellois HunterIsBlue who also took care of the production. The video tells the story of unrequited love and about how sometimes we can get too attached real quick to someone that’s just not meant for us.
“I had written this song after a girl I used to talk to ghosted me. We talked everyday on FaceTime & then out of the blue she just stopped picking up my calls. I was in my feels and ended up writing this song”, Kriticos told Into The Urban.
“As for the music video I wanted to keep it simple but I made sure the details were present. I had found out that the reason the girl stopped talking to me was because she had met someone else. So that’s what you see in the video. The girl I wrote the song for was a huge Aaliyah fan hence the Aaliyah hoodie and if you pay close attention there’s an Aaliyah vinyl of “We Need A Resolution” on the wall when I’m on the phone. It was a subliminal message to the girl. After the video was shot, I sent it to her.”
The video is directed by legendary Brussels-based director Robert Trefois who worked with Hamza, A$AP TYY & Damso & features Laetitia Nouhhaïdi from Temptation Island. Check out the video below.
